Eye Makeup Tips for Contact Lens Wearers

You would know how painful it is, as the piece of your mascara get into your eyes while you are wearing the contact lens. If you like to wear contact lenses in your daily lives, the makeup around your eyes might irritate your eyes and make you feel itchy. Although you might be really careful as you put on the makeup, curl your eyelashes with electric eyelash curler or try to avoid doing harm to your eyes, there are still chances that you would hurt your eyesight. When you put on your makeup, no matter it’s the foundation or mascara, you may get those makeups into your eyes probably, which may not only lead to the uncomforting feeling of your eyes, but also increase the risk of eye infections.
If you have Fortunately, as long as you follow the eye makeup tips down beneath, you could get rid of those uncomfortable problems and wear the contacts as usual.

If you insist to apply the eyeliner, it will be better to choose the liquid type than the solid type, since the liquid eyeliner is more security and soft as applying the eye lines. As you are going to wear the contact lens, the eyeliner for the inner rim of your eyes shouldn’t be applied.

As far as I am concerned, I would stay away from any kind of mascara, if I am going to wear the contacts. But if you insist to apply the mascara, try to avoid the mascara or fancy false eyelashes which are made from tiny fiber material, as those mascaras will be much easier to get into your eyes.


You have to remove your makeup thoroughly. As removing the makeup around your eyes, it is inevitable to take off your contact lens at first. And pay attention to pick the cleansing oil or other cleansing products, since the cleansing products without alcohol and other chemicals will be a better choice for most of you.
